The role of our energy analysts is to gather, analyse and produce outputs from a wide range of energy and other data to support Regen’s work to shape public policy, develop strategic insights to the energy sector and support the pathway to zero carbon.

What you will be doing
Working collaboratively across Regen’s expert teams to collate, validate, analyse and communicate data necessary for our impactful work.
Using a variety of software packages such as Microsoft Office, QGIS, SQL, Python and Adobe CC to produce valuable analytics and resources.
Communicating spatial data through engaging graphics with GIS and Adobe CC.
Maintaining client relationships throughout the project process to ensure valid data delivery.
Responding to press enquiries and producing graphics for use in the media.
Forging links and relationships with partners to improve our data and information management.
Leaning about the energy sector, as well as providing your own insight and knowledge to support our work
Knowledge and experience
Educated to degree or masters level (or equivalent qualification) with good grades in a relevant subject
1-2 years experience within the energy industry (or related sectors)
Experience using a range of analysis software or programming languages, including for example: MS Excel, SQL, GIS and Python
Demonstrable commitment and drive, excellent team working with the ability to plan and organise own workload
Proactive approach to deliver high quality work and impact
Excellent communication and writing skills. You will be asked to give a short presentation at interview
