Joe is a writer, actor, producer and comedian, who grew up in Gloucestershire and Devon, on a diet of Roald Dahl books, Beano comics and Nintendo games.

His recent work as an actor includes Rain Man (Bill Kenwright Ltd) and Great Things Happen at Home (Brother Brother Film). He has completed writers’ courses with the BBC, Soho Theatre, Bryony Kimmings and Howard Barker.

Joe’s plays include the critically acclaimed How to Start a Riot, Fix and Monster. His solo show Labels won five major awards, including the prestigious Scotsman Fringe First, and toured the UK and internationally from 2015-2018. He is currently developing several projects for screen and radio. His new show, Fanboy, is currently in development and will be touring alongside Labels and Monster in 2020.

 


 

Matt Harvey

TEDxExeter13credBenBorleyPoet, lyricist and columnist Matt Harvey has been a familiar voice on Radio 4 since 2001.  He served seven years as regular poet on Saturday Live, co-starred in One Night Stanza and hosted two series of The Wondermentalist Cabaret. He also created the unlikely superhero Empath Man. For years he wrote the Desktop Poetry slot in the Guardian, and currently writes a column for Resurgence Magazine. Books include Where Earwigs Dare, Mindless Body Spineless Mind and The Element in the Room – energy-inspired poems written while Poet-in-Residence with RegenSW – for which he was nominated for a P.E.A. Award.  His latest collection is Sit!
