The Energy Networks Association is updating the strategies that guide investment in innovation in our energy networks. This consultation event was an opportunity to guide the priorities for future network innovation projects.
Innovation in our energy networks is playing a key role in the transformation of the energy system for a zero carbon future. Electricity and gas networks are working in partnership with innovators, businesses and local communities to invest in trialling new technologies and business models.Energy networks do not have all the answers to the complex challenges we face, and partners are crucial to developing projects and suggesting new ideas.
The event shared the proposed new innovation themes at the heart of the strategy documents and enabled delegates to shape the areas energy networks will focus future innovation projects on.
