Mark is an engineer with over a decade of experience in the low carbon sector, he joined the team at Regen to work full-time on the ZEBCat programme, which is a Devon-based trial of the Energiesprong concept.
As business support manager Mark is responsible for engaging Devon-based SMEs with the ZEBCat project and with broader Energiesprong work to build capacity within Devon for the growing whole-house retrofit market. Mark has a bachelors degree in engineering and has spent over 10 years working in the sustainability, energy efficiency and renewable energy sector.
After graduating Mark spent three years working at Riverford Organics (in partnership with the University of Exeter) running a project researching, developing, implementing and communicating carbon auditing and reduction policies. Following this he worked in the technical development of carbon offset projects funded by the voluntary carbon market. Most recently Mark spent six years working for SunGift Energy in a wide-ranging role covering solar PV and renewable heating system design, project management, installation, and running strategic internal operations and process improvement projects.
