Mark has recently joined the team at Regen to work full-time on the ZEBCat project, which is a Devon-based trial of the EnergieSprong concept.
In parallel to similar schemes across the country, the ZEBCat project will procure 15 domestic and 1 commercial trial of the EnergieSprong model to act as demonstrators within Devon.
As business support manager Mark will be responsible for engaging Devon-based SMEs with the ZEBCat project and with broader EnergieSprong work to build capacity within Devon for the growing whole-house retrofit market. Mark has a bachelors degree in engineering and has spent over 10 years working in the sustainability, energy efficiency and renewable energy sector.
After graduating Mark spent 3 years working at Riverford Organics (in partnership with the University of Exeter) running a project researching, developing, implementing and communicating carbon auditing and reduction policies. Following this he worked in the technical development of carbon offset projects funded by the voluntary carbon market. Most recently Mark spent 6 years working for SunGift Energy in a wide-ranging role covering solar PV and renewable heating system design, project management, installation, and running strategic internal operations and process improvement projects.
