OpenLV at Renewable Futures 2019
Renewable Futures and EA Technology hosted an OpenLV hub, sharing the lessons of the groundbreaking project which has given communities access to their local electricity data, and exploring the next steps in opening up the smart grid to communities.
We were able to disucss what an open data platform is, what communities can do with this data, how they can use this data to work with their DNO, and where the OpenLV platform goes from here.
The hub featured a brief introduction to OpenLV, followed by roundtable workshops during the afternoon where communities, project partners and Western Power Distribution discussed their experience of the project, with opportunities for delegates to ask industry experts and other communities questions.
