Regen and the Electricity Storage Network have responded to phase 2 of the government's consultation focusing on the previous performance and near-term future of the Capacity Market.
This consultation built upon the call for evidence published in July 2021 and phase 1 consultation in January 2023, which sought views on proposals to better align the Capacity Market with the government's net zero targets and improve delivery assurance across the scheme. It is working alongside the Review of Electricity Market Arrangements (REMA) which is also looking at Capacity Market reform options.
