Marie Allen

Graduate energy planner

Marie studied human, social and political sciences at Corpus Christi College Cambridge, during which she became interested in the intersection of inequality and climate change and how a green transition can help tackle broad social issues. She is passionate about community energy and ensuring diverse groups have a voice in the net zero transition.

Marie worked as an investment analyst with a climate investment start-up, where she gained an interest in energy economics, and further developed her knowledge during her MA in climate and society.

She’s an advocate of joyful engagement with climate, something she puts into practice as an organiser of Climate Craic, a yearly arts and climate community festival in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
