The Electricity Storage Network is delighted to welcome Katherine Vinnicombe, head of business development at Eelpower, as the new chair for its Markets and Revenues Working Group.

Katherine commented, “I am delighted to be chairing the ESN Markets and Revenues working group. With various touchpoints with Regen and the ESN over the years, I’ve been consistently impressed by their ability to provide a real focus for action across such a broad range of issues, at a critical juncture in the energy transition.

“In terms of own industry experience, I recently joined Eelpower, one of the first movers in the battery market. Here I am responsible for buying and developing project rights, driving growth and strategic development in our battery portfolio. This builds on my experience in a similar role at SSE. Prior to that, at Foresight I led on the business case for storage. At that time, I acquired, constructed and commissioned  Port of Tyne and Nevendon in 2017 – some of the very first Private Equity backed storage projects.”
