14:00 – 16:30
This online training workshop is for anyone who’s interested in helping their rural community get to net zero and wants to know more about practical local energy projects to achieve this. With Northern Powergrid, Regen and the Regional Energy Hubs, we’ll explore projects which are viable in rural areas now, from energy efficiency advice to network innovation. We’ll share case studies from leading groups, and hear about the lessons from successful and more challenging Rural Community Energy Funded projects. You’ll also get the chance to have a detailed discussion and ask questions about projects that interest you in virtual breakout rooms with local energy experts, to help you take the next steps in decarbonising your community. Places are limited and it’s first come first served, these sessions are targeted for individuals, climate activists and community groups in the Northern Powergrid area, who want to take direct action in their own communities.
