Join us at Climate Action North for our next online meeting of the Green Recovery Action Network, a series of informal online networking sessions to encourage fresh thinking; generate sustainable and innovative collaboration and ideas; and to take positive action to tackle the great challenges the climate and ecological crisis brings.
Our 2nd meeting takes place on Friday 11th September at 2pm. Zoom joining details will be provided the day before this event.
We are delighted to welcome our first 2 network speakers as follows:-
Gary Stirling , Tesla – Gary works for Tesla promoting their energy products and working towards the mission of accelerating the worlds transition to sustainable energy. Gary will present an overview of Tesla’s focus and the impact it is having on tackling the climate emergency.
Samantha Granger, Thirteen Housing – Thirteen is a housing provider and landlord, with around 34,000 properties from North Tyneside to York, with the majority of the properties for rent and sale in the Tees Valley. Its colleagues provide housing and support services to more than 70,000 customers. Recognising their responsibility to reduce their environmental impacts, Thirteen has recently launched their Take Control campaign to support their journey.
A green recovery which centre-stages climate action is the only way we can bounce forward and build back better and greener from the impact of Covid-19; and to withstand future shocks.
As a purpose-led community interest company Climate Action North is determined to continue to champion the necessary changes to halt the climate crisis. Achieving this ambition requires collective action, and we know that business relationships are built on trust, reciprocity, and a genuine commitment to caring and doing business with each other.
We hope you can join us for facilitated discussions that will encourage adaptability and resilience, support teamwork and problem solving.
