Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) and Regen have been working together to model the take up of electric vehicles, heat pumps and solar PV at a street by street level to understand the potential impacts on SSENs low voltage network and guide network investment.

Developing SSENs understanding of the impact of low carbon technologies is key to supporting customers and stakeholders in decarbonising and securing a net zero future for everyone.

This webinar presented the methodology and key learnings from the work with time for Q&A from participants.

Speakers included:

  • Richard Hartshorn, EV readiness manager, Scottish and Southern Electricity Network
  • Joel Venn, head analyst, Regen

The final report for the project “High granularity projections for low carbon technology uptake – electric vehicle, heat pumps and solar PV” was launched on 22 June 2020 and can be found here.
