Local Energy Insight: Review of Electricity Market Arrangements
Thursday 3rd November
10:00am – 11:00am
The government’s Review of Electricity Market Arrangements (REMA) aims to ensure that GB’s future energy markets can deliver net zero whilst enhancing energy security and affordability.
This event for community energy organisations and local energy stakeholders introduced the key relevant aspects of REMA, touching on locational marginal pricing, opportunities to increase investment in renewable generation and flexibility, and a review of supplier obligations for local renewables.
Chaired by Ky Hoare, in this session you heard from Regen experts, Ellie Brundrett and Merlin Hyman about these changes, how these are being considered by government and potential impacts and opportunities for community and local energy.
