This online forum with National Grid (formerly WPD) is for all individuals, local authorities and community groups involved in supporting their local area achieve net zero. No matter where you are on your journey, we welcome you to join our first Net Zero Communities forum of 2023, where we plan to:
- update you on our commitments to support community energy for the year, outlined in our Net Zero Communities Strategy 2023;
- explore the significant challenges of decarbonising our homes and communities and the evolving role that community and local energy can play;
- facilitate collaborative discussions around the challenges and opportunities for communities to engage in decarbonsiation efforts in their local areas, and identify enablers of change;
- give you our analysis on what the upcoming changes to how connections are charged might mean for community energy projects.
We recognise the range of organisations and groups interested in the net zero transition and therefore endeavor to make all of our sessions accessible to everyone.
