The continued growth of energy storage is certain. But the question remains: what do storage businesses need to know now to be viable in five years’ time? As our energy systems develop, the storage industry will need to integrate with multi-vector systems in a multi-market setup.

The Electricity Storage Network sets the strategic agenda for the UK’s energy storage industry by investigating and debating the key current and emerging topics. Our annual open meetings, held since 2009, have highlighted technical developments, regulatory and legislative issues as well as national and international energy strategy; giving insight, support and networking opportunities to our members and to other attendees as they develop their storage businesses.

This symposium, open to members and non-members, focused on the importance of the multi-vector energy system and will give you insight into the emerging market opportunities for storage in the changing world of energy.

The 2018 Electricity Storage Network Spring Symposium was the tenth in a successful series of open meetings, recognised as one of the key energy storage events of the year. Over 120 delegates joined us in 2017 to discuss storage deployment and flexibility.

This year’s programme included sessions on:

• The development of energy storage
• The integration of transport, electricity and gas
• Community energy and local networks
with presentations from energy suppliers and local authorities
• Heat networks
• Power to Gas
• Legal Considerations
• Energy Markets
