The course will cover air tightness and ventilation for domestic retrofit
Topics will include:
- The purpose and importance of ventilation in a retrofit project
- Air quality, condensation and overheating – cause and prevention
- Exploring different ventilation system types – passive, mechanical extract, Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery
- Developing an appropriate ventilation strategy
The training will be delivered by Peter Rickaby, a qualified architect with a breadth of experience in building energy efficiency who is currently involved in writing the new British Standard for retrofit
ZEBCat is a three-year European Regional Development Fund project to apply an innovative whole-house retrofit model to fifteen homes and one public building in Devon, plus provide support Devon businesses to explore this important new market.
Regen is delivering free business support to eligible businesses in Devon, including training courses across a range of technical and non-technical elements of retrofit.
