We kick off with the first round of the 2026 ReWiRE mentoring programme on Thursday 7 May.
There are a limited number of places, please only apply if you are able to commit to this twelve month programme and meet with your mentor or mentee at least six times during this period.
We understand that circumstances can change, so do just let us know as soon as possible if you have applied but are no longer able to commit to the programme to allow us time to allocate your space to those on the waiting list.
Once we have reviewed all applications, we will be in touch with details for the day and joining instructions.
If you are joining us as a mentor, we will hold an online mentor training session on Thursday 14 May, 4pm-5pm, we ask all mentors to join this. We will send you a calendar invite for the training once you register.
The ReWiRE mentoring programme has been hugely popular, supporting women to enhance their potential through career choices and working practices, develop their strategic and financial acumen, and build their professional networks and profile. It matches the experience of one person with the potential of another, building personal and strong bonds with senior women and men across the sector.
The mentoring process begins with this match-making event where prospective mentors and mentees have the opportunity to meet during a ‘speed dating’ style session. During the session the mentees meet all of the mentors, where they have three minutes to introduce themselves and outline their interests, as well as the areas they would like to develop. At the end of the session, the mentees and mentors feed back to us on the chemistry and we pair them up. Once matched, the mentoring relationship can start, this usually lasts up to 12 months and will begin with a further call to set out objectives and timeframes. It is the responsibility of the mentee to maintain the relationship with the mentor, so be sure you have the time and commitment to the programme before signing up.
We organise matching events in the spring and autumn of each year. The feedback from mentees is that this ‘speed-dating’ process in itself very insightful, allowing them to refine their aims and expectations as the session progresses.
The initiative feeds into ReWiRE’s wider 2025 objectives to increase the visibility and profile of women working in the clean energy sector, and to support network participants to develop the skills to enable them to take positions on boards and in senior management across the sector.
Please feel free to recommend the programme to anyone you think would benefit from being a mentee and/or mentor. We welcome female mentees, and both male and female mentors.
