Bruce is an Associate of Regen. He has assisted the data analytics team in a variety of projects, including project EPIC (Energy Planning Integrated with Councils) which bridges the gap between regional authority ambitions and the development plans of gas and electricity networks. Working with the ESN, he has also helped develop Regen’s understanding of energy markets, and how they can help shape an efficient, net zero grid.

Bruce attended the University of Bristol and graduated with a first-class master’s in Aerospace Engineering. In this time, he elected studies in power generation and renewable energy, completing a case study into an expansion of the MeyGen tidal site. He produced his dissertation on ultralight aircraft, developing a tool to aid in the design of solar UAV wing structures.

Bruce is an experienced musician, the drummer in an experimental punk band – he has regularly toured the UK and made forays into Europe.
