Sonya is a renewable energy solicitor and consultant with 20 years’ experience. She deals with transactions in all renewable energy technologies, with particular expertise in wind, solar and district heat networks. Having completed an MSc in Renewable Energy, Sonya also offers consultancy services for public sector and private companies in dealing with all types of renewable energy projects. Having recently delivered the Bristol City Leap procurement, Sonya is consulting both for other local authorities and Vattenfall Heat UK on the delivery of the heat network in Bristol. Sonya is also a director of Bath and West Community Energy, Avalon Community Energy, a number of other community energy organisations and a trustee of the Centre for Alternative Technology and One Home. Sonya received an MBE for services to community energy.
