In the run up to the 2015 General Election, Regen SW launched our 2015 Renewable Energy Manifesto, at the House of Commons.

The manifesto set out an ambitious target to deliver 34,000 high-value jobs in renewable energy this decade and create a £10bn opportunity for businesses and communities in the south west of England

Project duration: Spring 2015

We called on MPs running in the 2015 General Election to pledge their support to establishing the south west as a leader in renewable energy and energy efficiency, in particular by agreeing to support a number of specific actions during the current parliament.  We achieved 22 signatories.

Regen also analysed the political parties’ manifestos in relation to renewable energy as the election approached, communicating the pros and cons of the different approaches set out.

We continue to lobby on policy issues as they arise, as well as influencing policy development at earlier stages through direct contact with MPs and government officials.
